I had previously operated Planet Doom as a directory on Searchking.com, but in 2004 Searchking quit repairing the broken directories so Planet Doom limped on unable to be updated for over a year, but still with many faithful users.

The new Planet Doom is a real search engine in that it spiders the URL's that are put into it and respiders those URL's at regular intervals. The focus of Planet Doom has shifted towards horror and dark fantasy a bit more, since I have another directory which covers science fiction and fantasy.

Star Trek TOS - I watch an episode every week of the original series. I love that old show. Although I'm about to move into the 3rd season which is where all the weak episodes are located.

I should also mention The Avengers. I loved the old Night Stalker from the 1970's and McGavin was perfect for the role. It will be interesting if they can pull off a remake of the show.

There are two problems with just the news approach: 1: the news items I link to generally only stay available for about 2 weeks then you get an error page, 2: there are plenty of other blogs out there doing the news thing as well or better than I can.
