McGavin in Stalker Cameo
The late Darren McGavin, will appear in a computer enhanced cameo in the revival of the Night Stalker series.

I loved the old Night Stalker from the 1970's and McGavin was perfect for the role. It will be interesting if they can pull off a remake of the show.

Webrings are go!
Shadowdark.org has been accepted into a number of well managed webrings. You can check out the main ones here. They are quite easy to navigate and fun too.

The rings above are about the genre in general, but I signed up for a couple more that seemed to be about or fit the interactive story board. You can find them on the bottom of that page.

Joining webrings
I can remember back in the late 1990's when search engines were not good at all, one of the best ways to get website traffic was with webrings. Over the years the improvements in search engine accuracy have sort of left webrings behind.

So I'm wondering, do visitors still use webrings to find sites on topics they are interested in?

I intend to find out by joining some SF webrings from the two major ring hosting companies: Webring and Ringsurf.

Shifting Focus for Scifi News Blog
Prior to this I have mainly focused on posting SF news. I think I want to shift away from that and use this blog for not only site news but also essays and opinions.

There are two problems with just the news approach: 1: the news items I link to generally only stay available for about 2 weeks then you get an error page, 2: there are plenty of other blogs out there doing the news thing as well or better than I can.

I'm going to still post news but I think I will do that more in the forums.
